Lacy was born in Ackworth, Yorkshire, England on September 7, 1875 (1873?). When he enlisted in June of 1915, he and his wife Emily Price were living in McLennan; Lacy had filed on homesteads at 20-77-19-W5, 34-77-19-W5, and 10-78-19-W5. In September of 1916, Lacy was wounded in his right leg, and in August 1917 at Lens he received a gunshot wound to his left arm. Lacy died on May 21, 1930.
