The Teepee Creek Stampede starts today, celebrating its 100th year.  It started off as one of the many sports days held in the area, with a mixed bag of events.  In 1929 events included baseball, football, and tug of war, along with a basket picnic.  Admission for gentlemen was 50 cents, ladies and children were free.
