Creating a Lasting Legacy at South Peace Regional Archives

There are two ways to create a legacy for a loved one at South Peace Regional Archives. A donation of their records becomes a permanent addition to the collection and honour their life and achievements. Please see the “Donate Your Records” page for more details.

You can also create a lasting legacy for a loved one by making a monetary donation to South Peace Regional Archives. Your donation will help SPRA preserve the history of this area and make more material available for present and future researchers.

Gifts can be used to celebrate special milestone events, remember a special person, or honour someone for their contributions. Gifts can be directed to a specific need such as film digitization, events, and newsletter sponsorship, or to general funds.

The tax receipt will be issued in your name and a card of recognition will be sent to the person or family you specify. Unless requested, we will not notify them of the amount of the gift.

If you would like to name SPRA as a beneficiary in an obituary, the following wording may be used:

“In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in support of South Peace Regional Archives, Box 687, Grande Prairie, AB T8V 3A8.”

Donations may be sent to our mailing address or delivered in person. Donations may also be made online through Canada Helps. If the online option is chosen, please email us details of where to send the recognition card.
