Thornton, Earl

Regiment:  Ambulance Corps

Earl and his father came to the South Wapiti district and settle in the east part of the settlement.  Two of Earl’s siblings did not accompany them – Jean and Doug.  Another sibling, Leith, and his wife Joan later moved into the west end of the district.

Earl joined the Ambulance Corps in the early 40’s and served in the Italian campaign.  When he was discharge, he and his English war bride, Eileen, settled in Bowness.  He lived there until his death.
