Godfrey Thomas married Doris, who was a war-bride who immigrated to Canada on the Queen Mary after the war. They had two sons, Dave and Danny Godfrey. They farmed in Viking for a few years, but Doris found prairie life to be too much so the family moved back to England for a year. Doris and son Dave stayed in England while Godfrey and Danny moved back to Canada settling in Fourth Creek, Alberta, where they homesteaded in a small one-bedroom shack.
Godfrey settled in NE-36-82-8-W6 in 1964 (VH Lease).
