Robert John McConnell was born on March 29th, 1895. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942; he was a Sgt Air Gunner with the 166 Squadron. He trained in Saskatoon, University of Toronto, Mount Pleasant in PEI, Commando School at Three Rivers, Que. He flew Wellingtons, Halifax’s and Lancasters. He married Isabella. Robert passed away in McLennan on August 14th, 1992.
