Gerald McBride purchased a quarter section of land in the White Mountain area on October 23rd, 1936. Gerry went overseas for World War II and met Mae Higgins, in his hometown of Desertmartin. They were married on October 3rd, 1942. Gerry returned home from the war to continue farming. He and Mae had one child, a daughter. Gerry passed away at the age of 60 on September 12th, 1972.
