Stanley Valentine Loewen was born September 21st, 1919 in Winnipeg, MB. He served in the Army a couple of years after it began and stayed on until the conclusion, he arrived home in February 1946. He joined his wife and children in Crooked Creek upon his return and eventually moved to Grande Prairie. His wife (Vyda) passed away in 1949 and Stanley moved his family to Edmonton. He subsequently remarried and had two more children. He later moved to Kelowna in 1980. Stanley passed away on December 24th, 1999 at the age of 79 in Kamloops, BC. He is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Penticton, BC.
