Lee, Lloyd L.

Lloyd L. Lee was born in Brantford, ON on March 4th, 1897. He farmed at Red Jacket, SK for a time and then moved to Beaverlodge with his wife, Nellie and two children in 1930. This is where he farmed until he retired in 1964. Lloyd served in both World Wars. In the first World War he was a prisoner of war for two and a half years (1st Canadian Mounted Rifles). He served in World War II from 1941 – 1942 (M42728). He was quite interested in sports and was an active supporter of junior hockey. He was also a member of the Legion and Elks. Lloyd passed away in Grande Prairie on March 23rd, 1968 at the age of 71.
