Frank Adam Koch was born in Altario, AB on August 30th, 1917. He moved to the Peace Country when he was 17 years old. He joined the Army and was a Corporal with the Winnipeg Grenadiers. When the war was over, he returned to the Peace Country and with his brother Joe, worked in a blacksmith and welding shop. In 1947 he purchased his own blacksmith and welding business in Brownvale, he operated this for 25 years. This is when he met Marjorie and together, they had six children. They moved to Grande Prairie in 1982. Frank passed away in Grande Prairie at the age of 72 on July 28th, 1990.
