Klukas, Herman Malcolm

Herman Malcolm Klukas (most commonly known as Malcolm) was born on April 22nd, 1926 in Pine Point, NWT. When he was 2 years old his parents arrived to Edmonton, AB by canoe on the Athabasca River and then to the Bad Heart District (Beaverlodge areas) where his father had land. Malcolm grew up on the farm. When he was 16 years old he joined the Army (M2610/EDMN R) and happened to be home on leave when the war ended. He then went on to farm in the area and drive a school bus for 15 years. He also enjoyed being a guide for hunters in the area. Herman arrived in Codesa, AB during the big rabies scare of 1952. Malcolm never married. Private H. Malcolm Klukas passed away in the year 2000 in Teepee Creek, AB at the age of 74.
