Kerr, Walter Vinton

Walter Vinton Kerr was born in Keoma, AB in on February 16th, 1925 and arrived in the Albright district in 1928 as a child. Walter Kerr Jr. served in the Royal Canadian Aire Force as a gunner on a Lancaster Bomber. He was discharged in 1945 and returned to Beaverlodge to purchase land near his father. He farmed there for many years after. In 1947 he married Connie Hodges, they had six children together. Connie passed away in 1969. Walter was elected to be a Robertson Associate of the Canadian Seed Growers Association, the highest honour of this organization. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian legion. Walter V. Kerr passed away on May 29th, 1992 in Grande Prairie at the age of 67. He is buried in the Riverview Cemetery, Albright, AB.
