Walker, Marion Isobel (Kenny)

Marion Isobel Walker (Kenny) was born on September 5th, 1923. In 1939 Marion Kenny joined the Canadian Forces, when she returned to Rio Grande-Halcourt to help run the fur trading business that her father started. In 1952 they moved to White Rock, BC. By 1958, the family had built up three farms and were ranching 8 000 mink of different colours. When Marion’s parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary a news paper article mentions Marion attended with her family from Whiterock, BC. In her father’s obituary, Marion is referred to as Mrs. James Walker. She and James had four sons. She passed away on April 24th, 2011 in Whiterock, BC at the age of 87; she is buried in Sunnyside Lawn Cemetery, Surrey, BC.
