Henri Johnson was born October 3rd, 1918 and passed away on June 30th, 1979 at age 60. He is buried in the Guy Cemetery. Henri Johnson arrived in Donnelly, AB with his parents in 1930 and attended school in Donnelly Heights. In 1932 he moved to Guy, AB and worked for different farmers in the area until 1942. That is when he enlisted in the Army and lists those years as the four best years of his life. He married Gabrielle Gagnon on November 24th, 1948 and they lived in a log house until moving into the new home they built in 1950. From 1958 to 1979 Henri drove a school bus to supplement his farming income. Henri and Gabrielle were very active in the church choir, with Gabrielle playing the organ and Henri singing. Due to ill health, Henri sold his land to his nephew in 1974 but continued living on the land until his death.
