Born in 1921, William “Bill” Glenn Jr. was the second oldest child of William Glenn Sr. and Sarah Ann Heatherington. His parents were both from Ireland. William Sr. came to Canada in 1910 and settled in the Peace Country in 1912. All of William Sr’s 6 siblings also immigrated to Canada from Ireland: James “Jim”, Joseph “Joe” (also in WW II), Sam, George, Robert “Bob”, and Mary. After serving overseas in WW II, William Sr. and Sarah married and made their permanent home in McLennan AB. They had 6 children: Jimmy, “Bill”, Clarence (who also served in WW 2), Pamela, Sheila and ?. Bill Jr., a WW II veteran, was a member of the McLennan Legion. He remained single, living to age 79 or 80. He was buried in the McLennan Public Cemetery in 2001.
