Glenn, Joseph Sr.

Joseph “Joe” Glenn, born in 1907, was one of 7 siblings who came to Canada from Ireland. They were William Alexander born in 1892, served in World War I, and married Sarah Heatherington;  Jim, who served in the Navy in World War I; Joe, who served overseas in the Army in World War II; Sam, who lived in Spirit River AB; George, who also lived in Spirit River; Robert John (“Bob”), who lived in McLennan and Peace River; and Mary, who married William’s wife’s brother William Heatherington, and lived near McLennan.  Joe was only 47 or 48 when he passed away in 1955.  He was buried in the Spirit River Cemetery.
