Paul Gauthier, the youngest of 7 siblings, was born in New Hampshire USA, on June 29, 1925. His parents were Donat Gauthier and Alice Roux. Paul’s older brother, Maurice, who also served in WW II. In 1929, the family moved from USA to Girouxville, AB. Paul attended the Gauthier School (named after the family) with some of his siblings. On December 27, 1947 he married Yvonne Remillard. For several years the couple lived on Paul’s fathers’ homestead. During the winters, they worked at lumber camps. In 1950 Paul and Yvonne moved to Edmonton before relocating in Orlando, Florida. There they operated a radiator business. Two children, Carmen and Raymond were born in 1954 and 1955 respectively. Paul suffered a cardiac arrest and died on August 26, 1974 at age 49. Yvonne carried on with the business, with the help of Raymond. During her retirement, Yvonne continued to live in Orlando.
