Fowler, Lindsay Herbert

Lindsay Fowler, born in 1916, was the eldest of 8 children of Hector and Lelia (Webber) Fowler.  The other children were Delmar, Cecil, Raymond, Willis, Ronald, Meryl, and Earl.  Hector came to the Peace Country from Crossfield AB with his parents in 1904, and in 1909 he took a homestead in the La Glace area.  This is likely where Lindsay was born.  Lindsay served in WW II, and he married Lilly Lundy.  Together they had 4 children:  Karen, Leslie (boy), Arlene and Dean.  Lelia died in 1948.  Lindsay and his family lived on the old homestead south of La Glace. Hector died in 1988 at age 93. Lilly died in 1998 at age 67 in La Glace, and Lindsay passed away in 1999 at age 83 in Grande Prairie.
