Foster, Norman

Norman Foster, born in 1912 in Sexsmith, was the oldest of four sons of Oscar and Magna Nabseth Foster.  Oscar and Magna settled on two sections of land in the Sexsmith are, travelling from Saskatchewan over the Edson Trail in 1911. The younger brothers were Earl, Stanley, and Merven. During WW II Norman and Stanley served overseas.  In 1953 Norman was ordained as a Lutheran Pastor.  Three years later he married Lydia Hanson from Calgary.  She had been a missionary for many years in China and Japan.  Norman and Lydia moved to Camrose after they retired. In 1994, at age 82, Norman passed away in Sexsmith.
