Campbell, Agnes Glen

Regimental Number: WI 3456

Agnes Glen, the fourth of 9 siblings, was born in Cavendish, AB to parents Charles and Amy Glen on February 21, 1923.  In the 1930s, the family sadly lost their farm in a dust storm, and therefore moved to Westlock.  After Agnes completed her schooling in Westlock, she joined the army.  Five of her siblings also served in WW II.  She met and married her husband Kenneth Raymond Campbell (also a WW II army veteran) of Eaglesham AB during the war.  Buying some land when the war ended, Agnes and Ken settled in the Eaglesham area, and had 5 children:  Patricia, Margaret (Peggy), David, Darcy and Laura.  The children were all active in 4-H clubs.  When Ken died in 1971, Agnes continued farming, raising cattle and horses.  Agnes passed away in June 2000, in Eaglesham.
