Gillies, Malcolm

Malcolm served at Gallipoli with the Imperial Army, and later served in France as well. He came to the Sexsmith area in spring of 1920, but left for Calgary that fall. On December 31, 1921 Malcolm married Annie Foster; they returned to Sexsmith in 1927, filed on a homestead at 5-74-3-W6, and ran Gillies’ Groceteria. In 1933 they moved to Kimberley, British Columbia. Malcolm died in Victoria in 1967.
