Thomas was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 19, 1890. He was living in Toronto at the time of his enlistment in October of 1917. In 1920, Thomas came to the South Peace and filed on the western half of 23-80-8-W6. He remained in the area until his death on March 9, 1956.
