Stephen was born in Amington, Staffordshire, England on February 1, 1892. It is unknown when he came to Canada, but he enlisted in the Canadian Army in Edmonton on January 4, 1915. He listed “miner” as his occupation. In October of 1917 Stephen was granted permission to marry Adelaide Hill. He filed on SW 22-80-13-W6 in 1928. Stephen died in Terrace, British Columbia on March 28, 1966.
