Fraser, Lawrence Stuart

Lawrence was born in Lancaster, Ontario on May 13, 1889. He filed on NW 3-71-10-W6 in 1916, and in August of that year he enlisted in the Canadian Army. Lawrence was made an officer in December of 1916. While at Petawawa Camp (in Canada) in August of 1917, Lawrence received gunshot wounds to his rest when a dud shell exploded. At Canal du Nord in September of 1918, Lawrence received shrapnel wounds to his left shoulder. He was invalided to Canada in October of 1918. Lawrence died in Edmonton on February 17, 1949. His Veterans Death Card states that he was married to “Mrs. T. Fraser.”
