The Avalon Theatre in Spirit River was founded in 1953. It is unknown when the theatre closed.

These records were transferred from the Fort St. John Museum in 2018.
Scope and content
This fonds contains two books that log different feature films screened at the Avalon Theatre in Spirit River from 1969 to 1985. Also included are logs of the Jan Theatre, the Red and Blue Towne Cinemas, and Gaiety Theatre of Grande Prairie from 1985 to 1986. Some notes are made in the margins of the books relating to the Gaiety Theatre.
