Agency History

Muse Magazine was an Arts & Entertainment Newspaper launched in December 1995. Publisher June Round, Editor Jody Farrell, and Community Info Editor Margerat Welwood were joined by staff & column writers Sukumar Nayar (Musings), Marilyn Gourlay (Let’s Keep It Creative), Jack Wynters, Robert Durnin, Harry Gaines, Lynne Ness, Bob Martineau (CJXX), Jill Webb (CFGP), the Movie Guy, and Joanne Stiles from Books Abound to keep the area updated on news and issues that faced the Arts community. Layout and production was done by Jody Douglass, and the final assembly and printing by Bowes Publishers Ltd. Issues contain articles about theatre, visual arts, fashion and music, poetry, short stories, community calendar, movie reviews, recipes and wine-making, and book reviews. As the issues progress, there are many other writers and occasionally artwork, such as an original drawing by Tim Heimdal.
