Administrative history / Biographical sketch
Kieyho Park, originally called North Eaglesham Park, is located on SW 18-80-25 W5. The Eaglesham & District Agricultural Society was given the lease for the land in 1981, and members Greg Donaldson and Daryl Burroughs were very involved with the project. The goal was to develop a recreational area and campsite with associated facilities. It appears that the main development of the park did not take place until 1992, when it was spearheaded by the South Peace Regional Planning Commission.
Custodial history
Greg Donaldson donated the records from the Kieyho Park Project to South Peace Regional Archives in 2012.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of papers relating to the establishment of the Kieyho Park, the lease agreement and license of occupation, receipts, bills, and correspondence. There is also a booklet prepared by the South Peace Regional Planning Commission in June 1992 which contains the development proposal for the park.
