This series contains 27 editions of The Headlight, which was a publication of the Northern Alberta Railways.

This series contains 35 editions of the Peace River Magazine.

“People of the Peace” was an 8 page newspaper published in Grande Prairie by Peter Vogan during the 1970s. It featured local news, interviews, a calendar of events, and invited contributions from the readers. A major theme was the Environment.

The Northern Echo was a monthly publication serving Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories, covering the resource sectors of Agriculture, Mining, Oil, Fur, Timber, Fish, Game and Transportation.

A weekly paper published in the late 1980s, early 1990s by “All of Us” Co. The editor was Lynne Ness, with contributing editors David Biltek, Peter Vogan, Sukamar Nayar, Grace Lineman, and Rick Erlendson. In later issues Ranie Arnold, Babe Bonnett, Tim Heimdal and Terry Smith were given credit for graphic design and layout. There were many more contributors. Genevieve Shultz was the business manager and Mark Marcotte was the advertising representative. The vision was that it would contain a little good reading, a little shop talk, a little civic insight, a little product news, a little sound advice, a little bit of this earth, a little sports, a little stage talk, and be a little off the wall, to be taken with a little pinch of salt.

This file contains miscellaneous supplements, special editions of newspapers, and one or two editions of a specific newspaper. Examples are: The Grande Prairie Herald Old Timers Historical Edition, Alberta Golden Jubilee, Celebrating 25 years at Grande Prairie Regional College, The Official Grand Opening of Muskoseepi Park, National Forestry Week, 2 editions of the Maple Leaf, and several “year in reviews”.

This series contains issues of Beaverlodge and District News from January 2007 to December 2012, as well as the last issue of Beaverlodge and District News from May 16, 2013. In May of 2013 the paper was renamed and relaunched as Beaverlodge West County News. This series also contains issues of Beaverlodge West County News from May 23, 2013 to May 2014, then November 26, 2-15 to March 24, 2016. In late March 2016, the Beaverlodge West County News joined with the Sexsmith Sentinel. They began publishing a combine newspaper under the name Town & Country News. This series contains the first issue of this newspaper on March 31, 2016 through to Feb. 27, 2020. There are many missing issues in 2018.

This series includes issues of the Lake Saskatoon Journal from April 20, 1917 to April 15, 1918. Some of the content featured in the Lake Saskatoon Journal included local and national news, marriage and birth announcements, local advertisements, and train schedules. This series contains most issues of the Lake Saskatoon Journal from April 1917- April 1918, excluding the following issues: April 27 1917, May 4 1917, Oct 25 1917, all of November and December 1917.

This series includes issues of the Clairmont Independent from Feb 22, 1918 to July 18, 1918. Some of the content featured in the Clairmont Independent included local and national news, marriage and birth announcements, local advertisements, and train schedules. Issues from June 27, 1918 onwards also feature coverage of the infamous 1918 murders that occurred near Clairmont. This series contains most issues of the Clairmont Independent from Feb 22, 1918 to July 18, 1918 excluding the following issues: No. 28, Vol. 2 (likely late February or early March 1918) and June 6, 1918.

Four issues of “The Image”, numbered issue 3-6, volume no. 1, and dating from October 10, 1997 to October 31, 1997. The editor is Paul Croutch, who has moved from Dawson Creek to Grande Prairie, and writers include Ken Steigenberger, Jeremy Johnston, and Vaughn Allan. There is also political news in each issue, such as a Report from the Legislature by Walter Paszkowski, and reports from the Canadian Tax Payers Association. Topics include Indigneous Peoples, the Downtown Association, travel, community facilities such as SPCA and the Climbing Wall at GPRC, and community events such as the Cancer Jail n’ Bail. There is a fair amount of Sexsmith news, such as articles on the Sexsmith Youth Center, the Sexsmith Fire Dept, an explosion in Sexsmith in October 1997, and news from the Peace River Bible Institute in Sexsmith. Issues included in this series are dated October 10, 17, 24, and 31 of 1997.
