Early Ambulance Service ~ This Week in History

Two items from the Oct. 18, 1929 paper seemed noteworthy. We have had several items about the hospital in Grande Prairie from the early days. I thought it was significant that by 1929 there was also an ambulance service. The other items reports on the visit to town of the Director of Planning for the Alberta Government. I guess I never thought of there being such experts that long ago.

A later photograph of an ambulance than the newspaper article refers to. The photo description is – An army jeep and ambulance from the Alaska Highway construction base parked in a field at Ft. St. John.
