Heading Outside

In the old days, going “outside” wasn’t stepping out of your door – it was the term used for the world beyond the Peace River country.  In this article from 1933, it surprised me that even at the start of the Depression, people were going on fairly long holidays to distant places.  One Hythe family planned to go to the Chicago World’s Fair.
