A Grande Prairie Flood – A Poem

A couple of weeks ago the blog was about Bear Creek flooding, and the narrow escape of Constable Burgess and a couple of other fellows when their boat overturned in the creek.  This poem appeared in the May 17, 1935 Heraldgrams column.  It appears as though the flood and the narrow escape in the icy flood waters was the talk of the town for quite some time.
