Enlightenment in East Kleskun

While many of the newspaper correspondents in the district reported pretty plain facts of local comings and goings, the East Kleskun person added opinions and details and also wrote with a lot of style and flair.  The events described are similar to the others, but they are written in an appealing way.  I wonder if the writer meant to be funny when including Ontario in the list of exotic places they were hoping to hear lectures about.
