This week’s item from March 26, 1938, tells about air mil service to Dawson Creek. The problem was, the planes often couldn’t land, so they dropped the mail bags out of the plane and I guess, hoped someone would pick them up and take them to the Post Office. Gives a whole new meaning to the term “mail drop”!
