Administrative history / Biographical sketch
The Big Horn School District 3312 was established in 1916, with the first schoolhouse built in 1920. The school operated until approximately 1950, when it was closed in favor of Grande Prairie School Division No. 14. Meadowville School District 4488 was established in 1930 and closed about the same time as the Big Horn School District. In 1987, a reunion was organized for past students and teachers of the two schools.
Custodial history
These records were transferred as part of a larger accession from the Sexsmith and District Museum to the South Peace Regional Archives in 2017.
Scope and content
This fonds consists of a booklet created for the Big Horn School & Meadowville School reunion in 1987. The booklet gives a history of each school, as well as lists of teachers and students.
