Administrative history / Biographical sketch
The Fetal Alcohol Support society was a non-profit organization incorporated in the South Peace Region in 2003 to in their words, “… advocate for persons and families affected by FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) across the life span.” The organization provided educational materials, produced regular newsletters, linked clients with resources, and collaborated with other organizations to support individuals with FASD. The organization formally dissolved in 2016.

These records were donated to the South Peace Regional Archives by Thelma Vincent in May of 2017.
Scope and content
This fonds contains records collected by the Fetal Alcohol Support Society (FASS) as part of their activities advocating for individuals and families affected by FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder). Included are financial records of the FASS as well as correspondence with other organizations and documents of incorporation and dissolution. Also included are agendas and minutes of groups the FASS participated in, including the Community Rehabilitation Professional Development Committee, the Community Committee on Disability Issues, Family Voices Northwest, the Northwest FASD Network, Region 13 FAS Working Committee, and the FASD Regional Inter-agency.
