Jack McCauley was born in 1903 and came from Penticton, BC in 1926 to an area near Bluesky, AB. In 1930 they bought in the Teepee Creek district. Private J. W. (Jack) McCauley served in the Royal Canadian Regiment overseas. He enlisted in November 1942 and went overseas in November 1943; he served in Italy and Holland. It was noted in the newspaper that he spent his 30 days leave with his mother in Teepee Creek. Jack excelled in swimming and won several trophies while in the junior class in BC. When he returned from overseas in 1945, he bought a half-section in Teepee Creek. Jack worked with Prairie Farm Assistance for a couple of years but mostly farmed. He spent his winters in Fairview with his sister, Ada Paul and her husband. He passed away in 1990 and is buried in the Teepee Creek Cemetery.
