They worked together with their fellow organization, the Elks, in building and operating the Elks Hall. Many photos are contained within the history books.

This subseries consists of the lodge records of Sharon Annis. Sharon served as Honored Royal Lady from 1998-2000, and president of Lodge #107 from 2003-2004. Contents include publications, recruitment materials, event records, speaking notes, certificates, photos, a scrapbook documenting Annis’ year as Honored Royal Lady, and other assorted history documents.

Much of the material in this subseries is closely related to the photo albums in series 0273.04 in terms of both content and format. Records in this series tend to include more textual records and are more focused on directly telling a cohesive organizational history than those in the photos series, though many do contain significant photographic elements and are formatted similarly to photo albums.

This album consists of a collection of obituaries, memorial cards, and pages commemorating the lives of lodge members who had passed. The first page reads “In Loving Memory Of Our Departed Sisters”.

Arrangement:

Photo albums in this series are closely related to the scrapbooks in subseries 0273.01.03 in terms of both content and format. Photo albums in this series tend to contain a higher proportion of photographs compared to textual records, though many are still formatted much like scrapbooks.

Some material was moved between 0273.01.03 and 0273.04 during the fonds’ rearrangement and accrual processing in October 2025.

File is an album containing photographs of the lodges members by year for the first few years of the lodge’s history.

File consists of a photo album predominantly depicting lodge members and events from between 1963 and 1969. Photos from before this period and as early as 1947 are featured at the front of the album.

Pearl Coon, the District Deputy for Royal Purple in Northwestern Alberta in 1947-1948, came to the Rolla area with her husband in 1915 and lived in Rolla and Dawson Creek for most of her life.

Ann Howarth, of Grande Prairie, was the Honored Royal Lady in charge of Grande Prairie Branch #107 of Royal Purple for the 1948-1949 year.

A popular fundraiser for the Grande Prairie Branch of the Royal Purple was the Shopping Spree. The winner of the raffle had a specified amount of time (e.g. 3 minutes) to race down the aisles and gather as much food as they could.
