In 1939 Robert Kenny joined the Canadian Forces, when he returned to Rio Grande-Halcourt to help run the fur trading business that his father started. In 1952 they moved to White Rock, BC. By 1958, the family had built up three farms and were ranching 8 000 mink of different colours. When Robert’s parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary a newspaper article mentions Robert attended with his family from Port Perry, Ont.
