Dr. Harold “Harry” Jones came to McLennan with his parents and brother in 1926. He attended his grade 12 school year in Peace River. Harry went on to earn a degree in Dentistry. During World War II, Harry served in the Army on the Dew Line in Canada’s Arctic. He was in charge of dental care for the personnel and was discharged in 1946. He opened his first dental office in Peace River and then moved on to practice in Calgary. He was an excellent athlete who excelled in hockey, baseball and curling. He married Marjorie and had five children.
