Came to Sexsmith in April of 1930, from Saskatchewan; he had been living there for a year since he immigrated from Denmark. His friend had a homestead in Rivertop (Sigvard Brown) and that was his reason for travelling so far. He worked for the Fraser boys that summer, he borrowed some money from the bank to buy his plot of land. He built his first log cabin in Sexsmith and was working for Louis Bonin. He served 2 ½ years in the army, he was injured during that time.
