Jackson, Francis Vincent

Born July 4, 1911 in Regina, Sask. Died in Calgary, AB on Sep 19, 1969 at the age of 58. He is buried in Burnsland Cemetery in Calgary, AB. He was recruited to the Loyal Edmonton Regiment on April 4, 1940 in Grande Prairie joining recruits from Peace River, he was part of 50 recruits who joined the colours. He had a land claim in Hythe at the age of 18 while working at Tie Camp and farming, his stated occupation at the time was Messenger. In the land claim it states that he was unmarried at the time.
