Gibbons, George

George was born in Antrim, Ireland in July of 1883. He filed on a homestead at SE 30-71-2-W6 in 1913 (later canceled). In November of 1914, he enlisted in the Canadian Army. According to page 31 of his service file, George requested that his medals be sent to Grande Prairie. In 1915, he married Constance E. Following the war, George filed on SE 24-71-3-W6 (also canceled). Instead, he worked as an insurance broker in Grande Prairie. The family moved to Red Deer in 1923.
