Museum Society of Grande Prairie & District

The
Pioneer Museum Society of Grande Prairie & District was founded in 1961 and its first
facility, the Grande Prairie Museum was opened in 1971. Since then it has expanded to
include a Heritage Village and the Heritage Discovery Centre in Grande Prairie's Centre
2000. In 2011 the Society changed its name to the Museum Society of Grande Prairie &
District.
In 2000 the Pioneer
Museum Society established South Peace Regional Archives. The following records collected
by the Museum were transferred to the Archives. Please use the below links to access
